Happy Easter!
I hope you're having a really lovely break. I'm off to the seaside to see the family. Just wanted to hop in (sorry!) and wish you a super weekend. A little Easter something from me - a free bunny egg cosy pattern.
Feeling grateful and listening to this.

Picture
the scene: you’ve boiled an egg that would make Delia proud. The toast soldiers
are standing by, ready for dipping, there’s a steaming mug of sweet tea at your
side. You are about to enjoy the best
breakfast known to mankind when disaster strikes, the unthinkable happens. That’s right folks, the doorbell rings. Just how will you keep your egg warm? Well, why not put your bank holiday weekend
to good use and prepare for such an eventuality? Knit yourself a little bunny
egg cosy!
You’ll
need your trusty scissors, a pair of 4 or 4.5mm knitting needles, a big-eyed
sewing needle and a DK yarn of your choice. Pastel
colours are fairly Easter-y.
The
Cosy

Next Row Purl.
Leaving a long length to stitch with, snip the yarn. With the sewing needle, thread the remaining yarn through the last 4 stitches. Pull them together and tie off. Turn your cosy inside out so the smooth side is on the inside. Now with the length of yarn stitch together the back seam. Turn your cosy round the right way. Ta da! It should look like a little egg-sized hat.

To
assemble
Cut a length of yarn to stitch with and thread it through your needle. Fold the ears a little at the bottom and sew them into place on top of your cosy. Using some scrap yarn, stitch eyes and a nose on your bunny. Your bunny cosy is complete! If you’re feeling keen as mustard, you could give your bunny a pom-pom tail.
