Knit News
First years have yarn bombed the arts campus - hooray! I didn't get pictures of all of them, but these are some of the projects. How fabulous.
A knitted den - this is for me, yes? This is how I shall hide from all my deadlines . . .
That's right - knitted leaves
At the knitting circle last night dearest Rix gave us all a lesson in hearts. So cute and easy to do (although my first attempt was a little wobbly!).
I used a scrummy Fez yarn by Debbie Bliss.
My heart was; cast on 2, *knit 1 row, increase 1 at each end, repeat from * until you have 20 stitches in a nice triangle shape. Knit 4 rows. Then you work the 2 upper curves separately; working just into the first 10 stitches *knit 1 row, decrease 1 at each end, repeat from * until you have 2 stitches, cast off. Then for the second curve; same again with those remaining 10 stitches. Voila.
As always, this chap has mine.
That knitted heart is pure genius! Think I may have to pick up the needles and knit me one of them:)
