ravelry out-takes

It's impossible to look chic when you're taking a photo with your elbows, right?

I thought it might be fun to share some silly Ravelry out takes from the last year.  And also admit that I'm pretty shocking as a photographer.

Knit so fast webcams gonna find me.  That knit cray.

In all seriousness though, I do struggle with photographing my knits and taking blog worthy pictures.  I have a fairly basic webcam and a fuzzy ipod touch.  One should never blame their tools though, so I reckon I could be doing better.  Is it worth getting a camera?  Perhaps there is a simple and magical technique I have yet to discover.  Or maybe it just doesn't matter?

What say you, excellent picture takers?

  1. I would think of photography like I would knitting. The better tools you have, the better the results. But the only way you'll get better at knitting or photography is by practicing. I would get a camera. And if you go all out, it is far more important to invest in a good lens than a fancy camera body.
