My startitis knows no bounds.
The Christmas gifts aren't even finished yet (as evidenced above) and I'm already getting giddy about my January projects. And I'm not even talking about finishing WIPs. I was all set to get cracking with the orange crochet top, you see, until I read Andi's blog post about this year's Selfish Sweater KAL! The idea is to make something just for you after knitting all those Christmas gifts (ahem), and there are discounts on loads of her lovely sweater patterns. I immediately knew I wanted to join in.
I've been an Untangling Knots reader for ages and have coveted Andi's gorgeous cropped cardigan designs for just as long. What better time to finally get going with a favourite that's been in my Ravelry queue forever? Plus, the yarn I wanted to use was on sale and I already had a ball handy for swatching. Perfect. Just need to get me a circular needle and I'm good to go. Come Boxing Day, I'll be casting on Miette. Details on Rav here. Have you made any stitchy plans for January yet?
I couldn't wait - yarn is ordered and swatching has begun! |
I hear you, I'm so looking forward to January knitting, too! Only a couple more weeks until you can do the KAL.
ReplyDeleteMiette is a great choice and it's on my to-do list, too. I look forward to seeing yours.
ReplyDeleteI have made no plans for the new year yet, but I do need to get on with my jumper. I haven't knitted anything in over a week and didn't even notice till today! Oops.
I love Andi's designs too, your cardi is going to be gorgeous. I don't really have any crafty plans for January yet, let's first see what I can finish still this month ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely! I'm looking forward to January knitting - struggling to decide where to start!

I have cast on a vest to start the new year. Hoping to knit a pair of socks this year although the heel business frightens me.
